DESCRIPTION: This gorgeous piece is an original sterling silver Edwardian Double albert chain. Made in England the Chain is hallmarked with beautifully crisp Chester Hallmarks and is assay dated 1911. The Chester Assay office closed down in August of 1962 which makes any bearing Chester hallmarks highly sought after and quite collectable. The Albert chain is a fabulous solid curb link chain with each link bearing a lion passant stamp with one of the links bearing the makers mark, Chester crest and Assay date letter. The T- bar is original to the piece bearing the same makers mark and assay date letter as are both matching Dog clips. It is a true gem of a piece to have the chain, t-bar and dog clips all original. At some point there has been a gorgeous shield fob medal added and an 1866 Farthing.

Albert chains never date and are a wonderful statement piece to wear. This is a particularly lovely one with t-bar and both dog clips being original to the chain. The added farthing drop and medal making it just perfection. ⚜️⚜️

In excellent Edwardian condition with patina can be polished.⚜️⚜️
