DESCRIPTION: This is a truly BEAUTIFUL example of an antique buckle ring. A British made piece with full Birmingham hallmarks and assay dated 1916-1917. Hallmarks are lovely and crisp.

The buckle was a Victorian symbol of steadfast love. Even today the buckle ring symbolizes the sentimental, binding love between the giver and the wearer of the ring . The interlocking belt and the buckle represents how perfectly the suitors are attuned to one another.

This is a truly wonderful ring that has been well crafted in solid 9ct yellow gold (with pink hue). This is that wonderful old gold and has that warm pink hue to it with a gorgeous heart and leaf detail that extends the full circumference of the ring. The pattern is still wonderfully clear and crisp and the band is lovely and wide and has a real presence on the hand. The ring has a beautiful pattina to the gold which we have left as we love it but could be polished out.

A truly beautiful well made very solid ring steeped in history to add to any vintage collection. Looks fabulous on it own or teamed with your favourite pieces. Amazing as a pinky ring. In outstanding glorious Antique condition.
