DESCRIPTION: This is a fabulous ring with a beautiful meaning and looks amazing on. An English ring with Birmingham Hallmarks and is wonderfully solid at 5.60grams. The ring is a great width in the front at 7.90mm giving it a notable appearance on the hand and tapers to 3.30mm in the back for comfort. The front of the ring reads " MIZPAH " in raised lettering and has a lovely, engraved pattern running down the shoulders. A very solid ring perfect for everyday wear and makes a lovely statement piece.

Mizpah jewellery is still worn as a token of love or friendship and became popular during the Victorian era with an emotive story behind it.

In the Book of Genesis, Jacob and Laban are given the wisdom to reconcile their differences and live peacefully. As a symbol of their trust, they built a tower, a mizpah. Before parting, Laban salutes Jacob: 'The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent, one from another'.
