DESCRIPTION: This gorgeous pendant has been crafted in solid 9ct yellow gold. This is a Conversion piece that was originally a brooch and was made by leading Melbourne jewellery manufacturers G & E Rodd under their registered trademark "Apex". From the 1920's to the late 1940's, Rodd used their trade mark "Apex" on jewellery and silverware to show the quality and attention to detail of their products. This piece is circa 1930's and is fashioned in a delightful "wishbone" with a gold wire scroll and beautiful flower. The Flower is set with a stunning round cut Natural Australian Sapphire that is a deep blue in colour. There is a new a bail and jump ring attached that will allow a variety of chain thicknesses. Quite a large pendant (see below measurements) that makes a beautiful statement piece.
