DESCRIPTION: This WONDERFUL piece has been crafted in solid 9ct rose gold (a lovely old soft rose gold). An original Victorian piece made in England and displaying beautifully crisp Birmingham hallmarks and is assay dated 1890. The fob medal is a Larger sized medal and is a very solid and weighty piece weighing in at a hefty 7.70 grams. The medal has beautiful hand etching and has initials engraved on the central cartouche that unfortunately I can't make out clearly, looks to be HHM which would match name on the reverse. These fob medals were often given as awards or trophies and this piece has been given as a cricket award in 1890 -1891 with details engraved on the reverse with beautiful engraving true to the era. 

This is one of nicest medals we have had the pleasure of finding. The engraving to the reverse is beautiful and very clear. Hallmarks are wonderful and crisp and the detail to the front is divine. The piece is a weighty piece and will be an amazing addition to your favourite chain, bracelet or Albert chain.🌷
