DESCRIPTION: A beautiful, classic original Victorian double albert chain that has been crafted in solid Sterling Silver. A particularly nice double albert chain that has both original dog clips and the original T-tar. Fashioned in a solid curb link chain with each link hallmarked, each end is fitted with an Albert style dog clip that is original to the chain and is also fitted with the original solid T-bar with matching hallmarks and assay date. There has a been a beautiful fob medal added a little later that is assay dated 1919 and is a fabulous addition to the chain, a very nice piece round in shape with a crown to the top and a gilded rose gold cartouche shield to the center.
Albert chains are a fabulous statement piece that never date. They looked great worn on the neck or wrapped around the wrist. This is a particularly nice piece with the 2-tone Medal. Always a great addition to an antique jewellery collection.⚜️⚜️
