DESCRIPTION: A wonderful vintage bangle made in solid sterling silver. An English made piece made by Federated Jewellers of Birmingham and is assay dated 1938. This is a very unusual piece we haven't seen before, boasting a bold width of 28.80mm with an exquisite very detailed etched foliate design to the full exterior. The bangle has a very unusual and quite beautiful clasp made up of two raised notches with a chevron pattern that slot into two openings on the opposite side and closes very firmly. This is an oval cuff style bangle designed to be worn firmer on the wrist and has a hinged back to allow for easy wear. The inside of the bangle has an inscription "To NE Baker From the Staff".

An incredibly unusual piece, we have not seen one like it before with such an unusual clasp and the maker Federated Jewellers of Birmingham were not in business long so it's a nice piece for the collector. A bold piece on the wrist that is visually very pleasing. ⚜️⚜️
