DESCRIPTION: This WONDERFUL ring has been crafted in solid 9ct yellow gold.  A British made vintage ring with full Birmingham hallmarks and assay dated 1971. This is a very solid and wonderfully ornate ring with a gorgeous floral pattern, it is very wide at the front and tapers at the back. A beautiful example of a buckle ring that is quite unique.  Being so wide at the front the ring has a wonderful presence on the hand. A fabulous edition to any vintage jewellery collection. 

The buckle was a Victorian symbol of steadfast love.  Even today the buckle ring symbolizes the sentimental, binding love between the giver and the wearer of the ring . The interlocking belt and the buckle  represents how perfectly the suitors are attuned to one another.⚘
